About Main Street
Over the past 30 years, the Main Street movement has established an excellent history of transforming the way communities think about the revitalization and management of their downtowns. Cities and towns across the nation have come to see that a prosperous, sustainable community is only as healthy as its core.
The Charlevoix Main Street program is based on a positive force of participants, all of whom wish to preserve, enhance, and promote our historic downtown as a vibrant destination for residents and visitors to gather, shop, work, and enjoy; participants from such groups as:
- Business/property owners
- Community volunteers
- Grass-roots participants
