Turkey Population Concern

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is actively seeking a resolution to the city's turkey population concern. The DNR has advised that residents do not feed the turkeys and suggested removing bird feeders for the time being. Turkeys are pattern oriented and territorial during their breeding season. They will continue to return if they have a reliable food source. The DNR has also suggested making loud noises to scare away the turkeys.
